Tikkun Olam means “Repairing (tikkun) the World (olam)” in Hebrew. This concept is a reflection of the sense of social responsibility that is an integral part of the foundation of Judaism. Congregation Am Echod engages in a variety of social action and social justice projects that seek to support our local, national and international communities.
Welcome to Congregation Am Echod
We are delighted that you are interested in our Congregation, and its activities. Congregation Am Echod has been a part of the Greater Chicago Jewish Community since 1896. Through the years there have been many changes, but Congregation Am Echod has persevered.
Congregation Am Echod’s goal is to create and foster a warm and inclusive community where we can pursue Gimilut Chasadim (acts of loving kindness).
Currently we are located in Grayslake, Illinois. We are a congregation of close, caring members with a relaxed family atmosphere. Please explore our website and learn more about our community.
