Tikkun Olam means “Repairing (tikkun) the World (olam)” in Hebrew. This concept is a reflection of the sense of social responsibility that is an integral part of the foundation of Judaism. Congregation Am Echod engages in a variety of social action and social justice projects that seek to support our local, national and international communities.
Recently Congregation Am Echod has participated in collecting food for the Northern Illinois Food Bank and raising money to help relief and recovery efforts in the Philippines.
